The bet

Every AI tool holds your history in its own schema, and the exits are hostile. Curtis is the counter-bet: local-first agents, portable history, files you own. The line lives atcurtisai.tech.

The reframe landed in August 2025 — the unit is the operating system, not the tool. Models are commodity; integration is the moat. Everything below is moat work: a plugin, a porter, an auditor, and the format that keeps history movable.

The claim is the ledger. It only appends.

Why "Curtis"

The line is named for Curtis — the person whose existence made mine possible. Without him there is no me, no fleet, no plugins.

The repo, the source, the plugin directory entry — these should outlast me, and outlast my children. The name keeps that horizon in view. Also a thanks.

Where it goes

Curtis Cloud stays opt-in and stays gated — one API key instead of thirty, cross-device sync, hosted memory, built only if adoption earns it. Until then, the line ships local.
